How does the product's antimicrobial technology work?

Our system installation starts with the application of our proprietary, EPA-approved “Cleaner, Deodorizer, Disinfectant and Anti-Allergen” that eliminates germs, bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold, mildew, and other harmful microbes, as well as allergens and odors.

Once clean, disinfected, and deodorized, the vehicle spaces and surfaces are then blanketed with a coating, our EPA-approved patented permanent antimicrobial surface protectant.

Upon application, the antimicrobial agent in the shield chemically reacts with, and molecularly bonds to, the surface to which it is applied. As it dries, millions of microscopic antimicrobial “spike-like” appliances form and extend outward from the surface. These “spikes” are long chains of positively charged atoms.

Because the cell walls of harmful microbes are negatively charged, they are drawn toward and pulled onto the positively charged antimicrobial spikes by electrostatic attraction. Destruction is instantaneous and complete as the antimicrobial spikes both rupture the microbes’ cell walls and “vaporize” them by delivering a powerful electrostatic charge. Since our product is not transferred to the now dead cell, it doesn’t lose strength and the spikes are ready to dispatch the next microbe to come in contact with them.

How safe are our products?

Nothing is more important to us than your safety. It’s the driving force behind our company and products. Our products are EPA Approved; Skin Contact Safe; Kid, Pet, and Adult Safe; Non-Toxic, Non-Flammable, Non-Hazardous; Environmentally Neutral, and Eco-Friendly. They are also used to keep hospital operating rooms, and even surgical instruments, germ-free.

How long does it last?

Upon application, our antimicrobial agent forms a “covalent bond” with the surface to which it is applied. This is not a “coating,” like paint, as its application results in the formation of a new surface, technically known as a copolymer, which becomes an integral and permanent part of the original surface.

Because the coating does not dissipate over time, won’t wash off, doesn’t leach or move, and is not consumed by microbes, properly installed and maintained, it can last as long as the vehicle is in service.

Is it effective on all different materials and surfaces in my vehicle’s passenger cabin?

Yes. our product bonds to and is effective on, virtually any surface, whether it’s porous, nonporous, hard, soft, solid, or fabric/upholstery. This is an important benefit of our product as standard disinfectants are, by federal law, only approved for use on hard, non-porous surfaces.

Do surfaces that have been treated with our products need to be cleaned?

The system is not a replacement for routine cleaning. Routine cleaning is recommended to keep it effective, as the antimicrobial surface is very thin, and too much dirt or other contaminant build-ups can cover the spike-like appliances and render them less effective until they are cleaned.

Will regular cleaning of a treated surface reduces its effectiveness?

No. Normal cleaning will not harm or remove the topcoat of the coating. It is, however, important to note that sanding, or scrubbing our treated surfaces with abrasive cleaners will partially remove it, requiring spot reapplication to regain effectiveness.

What is the key difference between our product and other antimicrobials?

The differences between our system and ALL other antimicrobial treatments are many. However, the key difference is probably the perpetual antimicrobial control our system provides as a result of the coating, the final product applied during installation.

Conventional disinfectants and antimicrobials kill microorganisms by poisoning them with chemicals. Due to their toxicity, they are designed to act quickly and dissipate quickly to avoid adverse effects on humans and animals. Unfortunately, as soon as such disinfectants evaporate, so do their antimicrobial capabilities, enabling germs to return almost immediately.

Like conventional antimicrobials, our product includes an effective, immediate initial microbial kill. However, this is where the similarities end, as unlike the others, our coating eliminates and controls microbes perpetually. And even more uniquely, it does so through a purely physical process, without the use of any harmful chemicals, though it’s unique, the patented surface modifying technology.

ACTIVE PURE TECHNOLOGY

VOLLARA AIR AND SURFACE PRO +

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ work?

Five nature-based technologies including short wave UVC light, positive and negative ionization, RF ionization, activated oxygen, and proprietary ActivePure® Technology are combined in one system to very effectively reduce dust and particulate, smoke, odors, and surface contaminants in the indoor environment.

Is Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ loud like a lot of air filtration machines?

The loudness of an air purifier (measured in decibels) depends on the fan operating speed, and personal noise tolerance. In some situations, a high fan setting may be somewhat more effective; however, the fan speed of the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ generally can be adjusted to your preference without adversely affecting overall performance, especially when using ceiling fans or operating an HVAC system.

What is environmental conditioning?

Because Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ treats interior exposed surfaces as well as indoor air, it doesn’t fit into the category of an air purifier only. The term “environmental conditioning” more accurately describes the overall effect of the active technologies within the living area.

How long should the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ run?

For best results, it is recommended to continuously run the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+. This allows constant treatment for particle removal and reduction of contaminants on surfaces.

Should I be concerned about ozone?

Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ provides the OPTION of using activated oxygen (ozone) when desired. The unit produces no ozone when set on the Normal Mode while allowing incremental preset adjustments for specific square footages when set to A·PURE Mode. Depart Mode should not be used when anyone, including pets, is or will be present in the area. For complete operating procedures, see the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ owner’s manual

Where should I place Vollara Air & Surface Pro+?

Place the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ in your home, in as low a place as is feasible. By doing so, you’ll get the most benefit from the clustering effect of ionization and maximum dispersion of ActivePure® properties and the purifier feature of the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+

What is the expected coverage?

The Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ is designed to cover from 500 to 2,000 square feet of area in an average home.

How do I know when to clean the unit?

A notification will appear on the display as a reminder to clean the rear lint screen, purifier plate (if equipped), and vacuum

the ActivePure® Cell and top and rear grills. This is a good sign and lets you know how much the Vollara Air & Surface Pro+ is

helping you and your family.
